Compare Odoo, NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica to find a cost-effective ERP solution for growing businesses. Explore pricing, features, scalability and long-term value.
It is Friday morning. Your warehouse team is packing orders from one system. Your accounts team is chasing invoices in another. Sales is quoting stock levels from a spreadsheet that was right last week. Then the renewal notice arrives, and your software bill has gone up again.
If you run a wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or export business in Australia, this may sound familiar. Growth adds users, sites and products. Every new tool adds a fee, and few of them talk to each other. Odoo ERP takes a different approach. It brings sales, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing and accounting into one system, at one published price per user.
This blog compares Odoo ERP pricing with NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica. We look past the licence fee to the full cost of running each system. That way, you can see where a growing business really saves. We checked all prices in November 2026. Here is what the numbers show.
Most ERP quotes lead with the licence fee. However, the licence is rarely the biggest expense. Additional expenditures come from modules, users, code changes, and partners’ time.
Independent studies confirm this assumption. Panorama Consulting Group published its ERP report in March of 2026. It showed that more than one-quarter of companies exceeded their ERP project budgets. The main reason was the need for additional technology. In other words, businesses have purchased the system and paid for the missing elements.
For a wholesaler or manufacturer, three costs grow fastest. Module fees rise when you add inventory, manufacturing or a warehouse. User fees rise as your team grows. When multi-year contracts expire, renewal fees skyrocket. An affordable ERP keeps all three costs in check.
On licence fees alone, Odoo costs less than half of the other two for a typical 10-user team. Here is the Odoo ERP cost comparison side by side.
| Cost factor | Odoo ERP | NetSuite | MYOB Acumatica |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price list | Published online | Quote only | Quote only |
| Licence model | One fee per user, all apps included | Base platform fee, plus users, plus paid modules | Fee per named user, set by edition |
| Licence per user per month | About A 43(Standard) — A 64 (Custom), billed yearly | US$99 — US$ 199, plus a base fee from US$999 a month | About $140 to $310 |
| Inventory, manufacturing, warehouse | Included | Extra modules | Depends on edition |
| 10 full users, licence per year | About A 5,160 — A7,680 | About US 23,900 — US 35,900 | About $16,800 to $37,200 |
| Implementation (indicative) | Scoped per project, often phased | US25,000 — US 750,000 | From about $50,000, plus $10,000 to $20,000 for scoping[cite: 12] |
So, is Odoo cheaper than NetSuite?
On licence fees, yes, and by a wide margin. NetSuite charges a platform fee before your first user logs in. It then charges again for modules such as manufacturing and warehouse management. Odoo unlocks all apps for a single cost.
At the entry level, Odoo vs. MYOB Acumatica pricing is lower, but it widens as you add more sophisticated capabilities. MYOB Acumatica moves you to a higher edition for multi-company or manufacturing. Odoo includes manufacturing in every paid plan, and multi-company is included in its Custom plan.

These are the six places a growing business saves:
One licence, every app. Inventory, manufacturing, CRM, purchasing and accounting sit under one fee. You never pay a new module charge to unlock a feature.
Published prices. Odoo licensing costs are listed online. You can build a budget today without waiting weeks for a vendor quote.
Phased rollout. Start with sales, stock and accounting. Add manufacturing or field service later, with no extra licence cost.
Fewer tools to pay for.One system can replace a separate CRM, inventory tool, quoting spreadsheet and reporting add-on.
Hosting choice.Run Odoo Online, use Odoo.sh, or host it on your own servers with the Custom plan.
A large app community.Odoo has open-source roots, so many needs already have a tested app. You build and maintain less custom code.
This is where the right partner matters. Envertis has delivered more than 80+ Odoo implementations for Australian businesses. Most of the savings come from the tools a business switches off, not just the licence it switches on.
Licenses alone do not cover all the costs you will incur. Odoo implementation includes configuration, data transfer, training, and go-live assistance. The price varies with the scope of the project; be careful with any fixed price quoted before the project partner has analysed your business processes.
A full-fledged MYOB Acumatica implementation comes at a minimum of USD 50,000, while the NetSuite estimates start at USD 25,000. A typical Odoo project may be more cost-effective, as it lets you use only pre-installed apps instead of purchasing integrated ones.
This is why Odoo ERP for small businesses and Odoo ERP for growing businesses follow the same logic. You pay for people, not features. A 10-person distributor and a 60-person manufacturer use the same apps. Only the user count changes.
Every disconnected tool leaks money. You pay for the licence. Then you pay again in double handling, stock errors and late invoices. The right ERP can prevent those revenue leaks.
The Odoo vs NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica numbers point one way. Odoo ERP software gives a growing business every app for one published fee per user. You add people as you grow, not new modules. Your three-year cost stays clear.
The next step is simple. Envertis will review your current systems, show where money is leaking, and give you a costed Odoo plan for your team. There is no charge and no obligation. You will leave with a clear list of costs you can cut.

Odoo charges one fee per user for all apps. NetSuite charges a base platform fee, then a per-user fee, plus extra fees for modules.
Both are cloud ERPs. MYOB Acumatica prices by edition, so advanced features can push you to a higher tier. Odoo keeps every app in one plan.
About A$43per user per month on the Standard plan and about A$64 on the Custom plan, billed yearly. Odoo also offers one app free with unlimited users.
Paid plans include all Odoo apps, such as sales, CRM, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, accounting and eCommerce. Implementation, custom code and Odoo.sh hosting cost extra.
Yes. Odoo handles multiple currencies, and its Custom plan adds multi-company. That suits exporters who sell into more than one market.
It depends on scope. A phased plan that starts with core apps goes live sooner than a full launch. Your partner should set a timeline after a scoping workshop.
